Does “‘big money’ donations” mean “significant donations” or “donations from big corporations”?

    Large donations from corporations and rich people who set up dummy organizations to get around campaign finance laws.

    Big money donations are from industries.

    Like the Trial lawyers,

    The largest special interest group in the US.

    They donated 236 million in 2008 to politicians.

    90% going to Democrats.

    That’s more than the next 15 largest industries combined gave.

    When you look and see :

    Big Oil – 23 million combined
    Insurance industry – 26 million combined
    Drug companies – 25 million combined
    Real Estate industry

    And you wonder why there is no tort reform in this country.
