You can send out a discover saying that you have not raised your rates in 2 years and you would like to maintain the rates the identical but with costs going up you may possibly have no choice. Say in order to hold our rates the very same, we are asking that every single loved ones ” blah blah bah “. I would ask for donations of items, food, milk, diapers, toys, crayons and so on. Individuals are much more apt to bring and item than cash.

i dont think it would be rude. Costs for everything go up each year. Maybe you can also have a few fundraisers, or make the charge for daycare based upon the parent’s income. you can also ask the parents to donate things. There’s definitely plenty of ways to work out the problem without raising the rates.

You won’t get any.
“Donations” are not tax-deductible unless your Childcare center is a registered charity, but there ARE ways to deduct the regular cost of childcare.
Raise your rates, silly goose!

You can ask for doanations all you want, doesn’t mean you will get them. If its costing you more to run the place than it did a couple years ago, raise your rates, just give out notices of it first. Everything keeps getting more expensive, your rate raise is just a result of that. Maybe things will get better eventually, but for now, do what you have to do.

I don’t think you can ask for food items at a daycare because you have to have nutritional info on every items you serve. It has to be on file. You shouldn’t serve items if you don’t know how items have been stored ie; refrigerated items and ready to eat.You don’t know how long the items have been out of cooler and in room temperature.Think about food allergies as well.

Raise your rates. Parents who abandon their offspring with strangers (you) will pay ANYTHING to keep them there. In economics, this is cause price elasticity.
