Question by pedohunter1488: What the heck is up with this “give back” garbage?
I worked my very first job at 12, worked hard and invested etc all my life. Now that I have a hefty nest egg I hear the loafers saying I must “give back” Wouldn’t I have needed to take something 1st?

I give a lot more than enough every April 15. To all you suckers that goofed off way back in school, please go starve, it is not my job to feed you or your spawn.

Probably what they mean is, assuming you don’t have to work, volunteer somewhere- a hospital, charity, food kitchen, whatever. I know an RN that is indepently wealthy and does not have to work, so she volunteers as a hospice.

“Giving back” doesn’t necessarily mean give $ $ . Get over yourself.

You are too poor – clearly your youth has left you feeling permanently hoarding and needy. This is a psychological issue and not a political one.

This is what Libs say about wealthy people. Athletes, businessmen, etc. It’s not enough they pat exorbitant taxes, they need to give some more.

I love this question. I’m with you. We have worked hard and made huge sacrifices to get some comfort and security in our lives. I give back to society by volunteering at the Red Cross and other local charities in my community. Leave my money alone.
