Question by liberalsrworthless: What is meant by, “give back to the community”?
I have but to see the community at my door with something but a donation plate. I have worked my ar se off all my life for what i have, no one gave me a da mn thing. I have seen other people give, and all they got in return was, “is that all”? Or, they received demands for far more later on. On top rated of that, the recipients of stated gifts werent happy because it wasnt “brand name”.The way i see it, be glad for the 22 yrs of service to my country, (and counting), and remain away from my door.

Helping out your country does not finish immediately after the service you give. There is no “goal” in which you can stop giving. You can only give back so a lot to what you have. Did you get an education in that community? How about the parks they retain or vacation events and such? Do not forget that by helping the community, you are, even if it is a unrecognizable percentage, helping out your country. If every person in the nation did what they could to assist out their community, believe about what that could do for that nation, and in turn, for the planet. I can realize that you are frustrated that men and women ask for far more and much more money. If they are a non-profit organization, I think they in fact do want it. And even then, aren’t most tax-deductible? I have but to see a false organization that just asks for income and does little or nothing. I don’t want to sound as if you I think you are a selfish individual, but that type of attitude doesn’t help anyone. Possibly you have been harassed so a lot, and maybe I’m not realizing that. But even if you have given as a lot as you can, you shouldn’t preserve that type of believed.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a church of service. They send tons of supplies to disaster victims and turn out enmass to help clean up after a disaster. Their missionaries go out for two years at their own expense and members are supposed to have a two year supply in the home to help in case of an emergency.

Giving is not all monetary. Sometimes you give your body.
You lend an ear when somebody need someone to talk to.
You give your heart to someone you love.
You give a helping hands to your friends.
And even if they don’t give damn….give them your the finger.

I only speak for myself. Before my husband died we set up a scholarship fund at the University of Arizona in his name to help students in need of funds to finish their education. We gave back to the community because we wanted to say thank you to all and any one that had supported us emotionally throughout the illness. He had three types of cancer diabetes and a bad heart. Someday some how someone I will never know will get a chance at a University education to better there life. Through this act charity runs down hill and round and round this community giving back to this community as best I can and after I am gone.

Well, what they mean by “give back to the community” is something like helping clean a park, help at a food drive, organize the neighbor kids into a soccer team, or just really anything that will help a community. It may be something as small as giving an old lady a ride home from the store when you see her walking in the winter. Some people are very appreciative of the gifts they are given by others. Try helping someone this next week. I think you will be a lot happier person for having done it.
