“If a man is valuable, his deeds will in some way outlive his life.” -Bill Loftus, Inventor
The Financial Freedom Foundation (F3) is a non-profit organization that teaches people how to create more passive income than their living expenses, so that they can quit living for a job and start dedicating their time and talents to giving back.
Personal financial independence is necessary in order to free up your time. However, financial independence is not the end goal, but rather an initial step, just the beginning step.
We’ll show you how to create $10k/month in passive income, so that you can cover your living expenses and quit your job, and then another $20k/month+ on top of that, so that you can have funds for helping other people. We have the tools to accomplish this, and we’ll show you exactly how to implement them. Money is very scalable, so you can actually get up into the millions, which will happen as your vision for what you want to accomplish increases.
Instead of trying to get wealthy people to become generous, we are teaching generous people how to create and control wealth, so that they can help others.
As to becoming a member in our Mastermind Group, we do not have any preferences as to age, gender, race, religion, level of education, or nationality … however, we are seeking people who:

We believe that it is the personal responsibility of private citizens to care for the poor, the hungry, the homeless, the sick, and the elderly. We invite people to take more initiative in doing so, using their private sector skill sets to do this more effectively. We believe that the solutions to global poverty, world hunger, homelessness, and almost all our social, physical, mental, and economic problems rest in the hearts and minds of private individuals acting generously.

Question by He Who Defied Fate [Atheati]: How can I successfully advocate for atheism?
In 1 of my classes, we’re supposed to do some huge project with the theme of what they call “social entrepreneurship” which is a phrase that doesn’t even make sense to me. Essentially we have to pick a difficulty in the world that we’re passionate about, and do something about it.
The initial factor I thought of was how significantly I hate creationism, the Phelps family members, and the like.
I’m thinking I must do a fundraiser for the Freedom From Religion Foundation, but that just appears half-assed. Either the fundraiser itself has to be cool somehow, or I have to believe of some thing a lot more creative than just raising money.
Or I could abandon this entire atheism idea.
Michael: Donating to the FFRF would represent me giving my time, effort, and money to the kinds of actions that the FFRF does. You may have heard of a lawsuit or two that they’re responsible for.
For my own part, I do not really feel discrimination for getting an atheist, but of course it exists. Trying to increase acceptance of atheism is what I call “advocacy.”

Try to do an actuall difficulty, not just advocating your beliefs.
Attempt some thing along the lines of “going green”

Unfortunately, you will just be setting yourself up as a target.
I’d find a theme that is a tad less likely to push buttons.
Do something ancillary, like supporting a cause that promotes freedom of expression or increases reading.
Remember, it was the lack of ability to read by the general populace that kept Europe in the Dark Ages for so long.

ok, entrepreneurship is to do with business..
example, entrepreneur of the year=businessman of the year.
An entrepreneur is a businessman with his own business.

Oh, man, you’ve got to attack organized religion. There is loads of material to work with and loads of examples to point out why religion is so bad for humanity.

There is no ‘ism’ to advocate. Atheists are connected by a single negative proposition. You are setting yourself an impossible task. What are the concrete benefits of atheism? How does it help you make moral choices? What is its epistemological value? and so on. These are questions that individuals may answer for themselves, but there is no atheist orthodoxy to speak from. I’d give it up as a bad job.

Edit:
My bad. I thought you were talking about atheism as an idea rather than a sociopolitical movement. Sorry ’bout that. But even so, from what you’ve written you are defining your atheism by what you are against. The most carefully constructed model of an atheist utopia was formulated by Marx. You could look to him for ideas, although communism has fallen out of favor in the past couple of decades.

Is that sort of like social engineering? I prefer to just eradicate agendas and special interests from schools and public education and allow social evolution to take it’s course. I support political activism to the degree that it pushes out the agendas, but my support stops when the activism takes on a life of its own and becomes just another agenda.

This whole question and concept is so ridiculous that it would be funny if it wasn’t so sad. Just so I have this right, atheists are actively fighting for the right to oppose something that they admittedly dismiss as make believe and better still there is a foundation devoted to this fight? Oh that is absolutely priceless! What a colossal waste of energy and resources to fight the believers of a God that they don’t even believe exists. Advocate for atheism by doing and believing in nothing for that would be the best display of atheist’s beliefs, or lack thereof.

Dude, don’t let bad examples of followers make you reject God. This is like rejecting democracy because of some bad politicians… except on a totally different level because God is perfect (His ways are far above ours) and democracy is not.
Are you passionate about helping people become informed? Maybe do your project about literacy or something. An idea. Your goal shouldn’t be to exercise the hatred you feel but to make a change for the good. For example, you help sick people because you want them to get better, not because you hate illness. I know you can find something that you are passionate about! (I think you should do something different than a fundraiser, but maybe that’s just me.)Wish you the best on your project!
P.S. The Catholic view of creation and the book of Genesis totally does not oppose evolution, even human evolution. Science (good science, I mean) and faith (when viewed the right way), don’t conflict. I’m not going to elaborate on the Catholic stance here, but I thought you should know that.
You know what’s awesome? Catholic theology, the real stuff. Don’t let stories of misguided Catholics discourage you. Why don’t you pick up a Catechism and a Bible and maybe some stuff by Scott Hahn? If you don’t want to buy them, the first two are available on line.
