Question by Allegory: How does “it is finished” differ from truly finished?
The word of God is “sharper” than any twoedged sword
smarter than law vs law and/or laws vs grace sides wars.

JC is only the “foundation” to start off developing God-ward on.

Truly “finished” = reconciled thru Jesus–>Christ–>to God,
due to the fact of these three Saviours, only God cannot lie nor die.

Definitely finished not only flushes law as “dung”,
but also makes a “clean” wipe of all the dung,
considering that “a tiny leaven leaveneth the entire lump”,
like a little cancer us law can kill the whole body.

Given that Jesus spoke it, it is genuinely finished!

    Death and poo.

Together with a tendency to partake in some strange cannibalistic ritual of eating and drinking their lord on a Sunday is it any wonder it all sounds weird?

You’re advocating complete lawlessness, also known as anarchy.

And yet, you’re typing this on a computer, which is a product of civilization, which is itself a construct of lawfulness. Hypocrisy much?

Jesus said “it is finished” b/c His purpose in the earth was done. Salvation was now made possible for humanity.

I’ve always interpreted those last words of Jesus Christ to mean, “I’m done. It is enough.” What we need for eternal life, God has done and made a record so there would be no question.

Unless of course, you are mormon. They don’t quite believe the bible is really God’s sufficient Word for humanity, even though they must believe what Joseph Smith told them about HIS book being more “pure”. They don’t understand Christianity’s reasoning of why we don’t swallow whole Smith’s word, when they are ordered to not take Holy God completely at His Word—when its His Plan?? God’s Word has been proven to be consistent with His Character for over 12,000 years. Why stop trusting Him completely now? Over the say-so of a well-known questionable character? Not hardly. Not hardly, at all. Sounds more like Smith wanted to be known as God instead….

Jesus Christ is THE foundation for God’s message to humanity, not “only” the foundation. THE ONLY foundation. Be careful how you word things. There is only one Savior, and He is Emmanuel…. God with us. Just in human form. Jesus Christ is also spirit, which cannot die. The Holy Spirit is spirit, which cannot die. If you say Jesus was not with God before being born, you are denying what God Himself said re: the Word (who Jesus is) of God. He was the only one who WAS with God before being given a body. (Not as the mormons believe everyone was. We are not deity.) Jesus Christ never lied, therefore you are calling Him God. But somehow I’m thinking you might not realize that.

“Keeping” the Law to save was eliminated at Christ’s death. “Keeping” the Law to please God was instituted at Christ’s resurrection. Motivation is key. If you love Jesus, you will love living the Laws of God. Not fear it like people did before Christ.

Not all cancers kill the whole body. Bad analogy. Stop trying to mush verses together that weren’t meant the way you want them to mean. You sound sound just like Joseph Smith when you do.
