Question by Elation: How can I get “volunteer” jobs that my counselor is telling me?
I’ve been looking for a second job for 10 months and few replied but nevertheless I got absolutely nothing. My counselor told me to get internships/volunteers when I stepped unto a four year university. Nevertheless, I don’t see any postings on-line. My key is sociology so ought to I join international clubs that are full of foreigners. Did my counselor lie simply because I only see volunteer function in the church specifically individuals are really busy with their life in this recession.

Joining a club is not likely to give you any opportunities to find an internship or volunteer opportunity.
The university should have a person or department that can help you with this.

Why not volunteer in blood banks?

Blood banks regularly search for volunteers who are responsible and can perform the ff: completing paperworks, filing of data, mailing letters, encoding data, managing canteen, entertaining people in the waiting area, answering phone calls, organizing blood drive, educating people about blood donation, etc.

You can surely sure what you have learned in sociology while working in a blood bank. I was nineteen when I worked in BioLife and the experiences I had were all a blast.
