Cheerful Givers, a Minnesota-based non-profit organization, has been invited to join the Corporate Volunteerism Council of the Twin Cities (CVC).

Cheerful Givers, an organization founded in 1994 by Robin Maynard right after a check out to a homeless shelter, has spent the past 12 years fulfilling its mission of supplying birthday gift bags to poverty-stricken youngsters. To date the organization has provided a lot more than 148,000 gift bags to young children all through Minnesota with the help of thousands of volunteers. The organization is now becoming recognized for its commitment to community awareness by the Corporate Volunteerism Council.

CVC is a expert advocacy organization that works to enhance and boost volunteerism. Even though it is mainly made up of corporate members, it also consists of associate non-profit members that serve as a resource on volunteerism to CVC corporate members. A partial list of corporate members include 3M, Ameriprise Economic, Blue Cross &amp Blue Shield of Minnesota, Comcast, and Common Mills associate members incorporate American Red Cross, Catholic Charities, the Salvation Army and Volunteers of America.
